The Art of Living Foundation (AOLF) is a non-profit, educational and humanitarian organization founded in 1981 by the world-renown philanthropist and spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. All of AOLF’s programs are guided by Sri Sri’s philosophy: “Unless we have a stress-free mind and a violence-free society, we cannot achieve world peace.” The AOLF community is diverse and attracts people from all walks of life backgrounds and religious orientations.
AOLF offers numerous highly effective educational and self-development programs and tools that facilitate the elimination of stress and foster deep and profound inner peace, happiness and well-being for all individuals. These programs, which include breathing techniques, meditation, yoga, and practical wisdom for daily living, have helped millions around the world to completely transform their lives.
Overseas Volunteer for a Better India (OVBI), founded in 2013 as a 501(c)(3) approved Non-Profit Organization, formed by a group of inspired Non Resident Indians who support initiatives towards vibrant, socially developed and economically powerful India and tackle issues that the Indian community faces in the U.S.
In this context, promoting Yoga as an ancient Cultural heritage among the 300+ Million US population is an important mission. OVBI is creating a platform for several organizations and Yoga ambassadors to come together to celebrate the first, historical International Day of Yoga in US and in other cities globally. 177 nations have recently joined hands to pass the resolution for the International Day of Yoga at the United Nations.
